Heaven help us. Lovel. Lisa. Jamie. a possibility. Scarier than Alien.
ReplyDeleteHow's the auction doing? Last time I checked the county was up for the highest bidder, around $40,000 was it?
ReplyDeleteDehlendorf doing a good job as auctioneer.
Now there is a report that the case may go on appeal to higher court.
ReplyDeleteReports are that the judgment will be appealed, as mentioned in the linked Island Guardian article.
ReplyDeleteI respect the good and honest intentions of the people who brought this suit, but I never expected anything other than the decision we got today.
ReplyDeleteIt's basic; no judge will go against the will of the voters without some huge malfeasance or something of that nature. Any appeal very likely will also fail.
So get the sharp knives out. I don't know about other readers of the TH, but I'm sick to death of hearing chapter and verse about denied economic advancement through some very modest proposal because of the huge book of nonsense "rules" enacted under the environmental banner for no known established or truthful reason. Just crap that some staff person or politically connected advisory committee person dreamed up and stuffed in there under the environmental mantra. And the really sick thing about this stuff is it largely does nothing for the environment!
The post that suggested a two year clearing of the books of all this regulatory worthless BS was spot on. (I believe most of us believe in useful and practical regulation.)
So the battle is joined. Come out fighting!
Hoping for this injunction is like relying on the Supremes to invalidate Obamacare. We must not rely on others to do for us that which we ourselves must needs do.
ReplyDeleteNow get out there and start pulling weeds ...
